On Saturday June 21 st we took the boys to camp in the Carmel Valley. They will be staying for three weeks. We stayed at our favorite hotel on Cannery Row. We took them to the aquarium and let them goof around. We let the boys climb rocks and play on the sand and of course watch tv for a while before we took them to Douglas Ranch. We arrived for drop off and they were amazed at how cool the camp looked. The camp is set up like a 1950's camp, there is no tv, video games or computers. They actually have to get out and play with other kids. We checked them into their cabins and they met their counselors and set up their beds. We watched a golf cart go flying off the cliff beneath one of the cabins when the brake was not set properly. Jake has since written us that they have pulled it back up the hill. Nick seemed to be just fine when we left him and he has written that the food is pretty good. We will retreive them in two weeks.
