New Years Eve at the Hotel Del Coronado. We had an amazing room with an amazing view but even better company. Gina and Jon spent a couple of days with us.


We got to spend Presidents Day Weekend up at our house in Flagstaff. Our Goddaughter Natalie got to spend a few days with us. There was way too much snow but the kids loved it.


In March, I got to go to Phoenix to spend time with Gina G and her brother Bob and nephew Anthony. Uncle Bob took us off roading with the Bronco Club. It was a beautiful day and going off roading was quite fun.


In April, I got to go to Coeur D"Alene for a quilter's retreat with Mary Lou Weidman. I bought myself this pig hat without half its mouth. I am going to have to fix that.


In May, Nick got to throw out the first ball at the Dodger game. Uncle Alex was kind enough to buy the opportunity at an auction and let Nick throw out the first ball.


In May we went to the SPA campout just north of Santa Barbara. This is Jake with his wild hair.


Jake turned 12 at the end of May. Here he is with his brother and friends playing basketball. Of course without any shoes.


In June we went to Flagstaff and we got to go to the Lava Tunnel which is the boys' favorite thing to do when we can make it out there.


Jake finally caught a fish in the lake behind our house in Flagstaff. He has been trying to catch one for over 5 years. After this catch he was hooked and wants to go fishing every chance he gets.


In July I took the boys to the ghost town of Jerome. They enjoyed all the kitchey things Jerome had to offer. Next time they want to go on a ghost walking tour.


Just outside the Museum of Norther Arizona the boys found some amazing rocks to climb on . I am sure there was a sign that said no climbing but I am sure they didn't mean us.


July was also time to visit Sedona. Great Mexican lunch and time for trinket shopping.


We got to visit an amazing museum in Phoenix, The Muscial Instrument Museum, which we highly recommend. The boys were excited to go to the try the instrument room. This is an all day museum. So much to see, so much to hear.


July saw us in San Francisco too. The high light was a food walking tour of Chinatown. The boys are hooked on Chinese snap clappers, they are the loudest poppers you have ever heard.


We took the boys to the Haight with Aunt Gina. They loved the freaky freakys. The highlight of the Haight was the Amoeba Record Store. They had never seen vinyl records. What a trip.


The boys spent two weeks in August at Douglas Ranch Camp. They loved archery and shooting rifles.


August - Santa Cruz Harbor. The Boardwalk. All fun, all good.


We got to go to the Jet Center Party during the Monterey Historic Races. The planes were amazing. John got to race his car a couple of days.


We spent two weeks in Carmel in between car races. Aunt Gina and Uncle Jon came down and spent a couple of nights with us. We hit the beach about 5 times during our stay.


September For my Birthday we went to Boston and Aunt Gina from Phoenix met us there. We did lots of touristy stuff and had amazing seats at the Red Sox game.


Jay and Nick went with us to the Sam Adams Brewery tour. This was the most fun. We had so much free beer, thank God we were taking the T home.


October The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride was at Griffith Park. We took the boys and their friends and spent a very fun evening being scared (yeah right) and playing carnival games.


For the second year we have gone to Waikiki for Halloween with Grandma Betty and Adri, Brent and Drake. The boys have such a good time walking up and down the main drag looking at all the costumes and crazies.


Grandma Betty with Jake as Alan from the Hangover, Drake as an FBI man and Nick as a zombie superman. They all looked really good.


November we got to see the 360 version of Peter Pan. The sets were so interesting and it was cool to actually see the actors fly through the sky.


Over Veteran's Day weekend we took the boys on their first trip to Colorado to visit Grandma Nancy. The boys loved their trip and seeing where Nancy and Jerry lived. We got to go to the caverns at Glenwood Springs. Awesome stalagmites and stalagtites.
