We decided to go and spend the afternoon at Descanso Gardens in La Canada-Flintridge today. What a perfect day to go. The lilacs were in full bloom, many of the roses had started to bloom and the camellia forest still had thousands of blossoms left. There were an amazing amount of potted flowers as well as thousands of tulips and daffodils in bloom. The boys enjoyed watching the enormous koi/goldfish swimming in the many ponds. The wisteria was gorgeous and hung all over the place. We even got to ride the train through the gardens. The boys used to go to Descanso a lot when they were little but only Jake seemed to remember it at all since it has been at least three if not four years since we've been there.
