Our Trip to Tahoe

In November, after I spent a week at Art Quilt Tahoe, the boys came to spend the weekend with me and then drive home. We started our trip by stopping at Cabela's in Reno where the boys got a chance to practice shooting in their shooting gallery. Then we went and looked a lot of different types of bullets and guns and at their amazing animal displays. We had never been to a Cabela's before and it was quite an experience. We then headed to our favorite hotel, the Hyatt at Incline Village. We had a lakeside cottage and spent two days playing. Nick and Jake decided to take me up on a bet that they wouldn't jump into the lake. Well they proved me wrong. Nick was the first to go in and he did six jumps. Jake finally got up the nerve and did two or three. It was sooooo cold in that lake. They would hug on to the steel poles after each jump because they had been warmed by the sun. It was maybe 55 degrees outside that day but beautiful and sunny.
