The View From My Room in Scripps

I got to spend a week at Asilomar taking a class from Mary Lou Weidman. I had the most fun learning new blocks and making what she calls Hoochy Mama blocks. Her flower blocks are fun to make and can be made in so many different ways. I learned how to make a frog, snail, caterpillar, worm, ladybugs, fly, beetles and dragonflies. I had a room with a lovely few of the pine trees with the ocean in the not very far background. The beach is only a few feet away from the grounds of Asilomar.
