Jake, Nick, Grandma Betty and I went to Honolulu for five days over Veterans Day. We stayed at the most beautiful hotel, The Royal Hawaiian. We stayed in the ocean front tower and had the most spectacular view of Waikiki Beach. It was the first trip to Oahu for the boys. We were totally in love with the area. We walked everywhere and had delicious MaiTai's and other tropical drinks. The weather was spectacular. It was a steady 85 every single day. The humidity was only bad for two of the days and then we just went in the ocean to cool off. Jake and Nick spent most of their days digging holes in the sand near the water. One day Jake decided to bury himself in a tiny little hole. When the tide started to come in he got stuck in the hole and Nick and I had to dig him out. Not the smartest thing to do. We spent one day touring the Arizona Memorial and taking a city tour by bus. We got to eat shaved ice one night which was pretty darn delicious.
