Haunting at D-Land

On Friday, John and I took the boys to Disneyland to meet up with our friends from Arizona. We spent the first half of the day playing around Disneyland before we went to California Adventure to go trick or treating. The boys really had a great time on Tom Sawyer Island. The island has recently been remodeled to include a lot of different pirate hide outs based on the Pirates movie. The boys especially liked the skull cage that they spent a long time climbing on. We of course got to ride their favorite rides, Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, and Star Tours. The park was busy but not packed like a summer day but still busy enough to make half hour plus lines.
After dinner at Catal in downtown Disney I put on the boys makeup to make them look scary for the last part of our visit. They both had very realistic looking scars that we put on with spirit gum. I kind of glued a little of their hair too which wasn't very fun to remove later that night.
We met up with Gina, Kaitlin and Nicole S. and Bill, Danette and Jordan L. and headed into the California Adventure park. The candy was out everywhere. This was the most amazing amount of candy in any one place. The helpers just dumped handfuls of candy into each bag at every station. By the fourth station the boys bags were almost full. They continued running from place to place and filled up. Then it was off to ride the rides at night. The California Sreaming rollercoaster was awesome. The boys each rode it 5 times before we moved on to another ride. Nick was going to ride the Tower of Terror but at the last minute he backed out and he and John had to be let out of the ride line. Jake really enjoyed it and tried to get me to ride it but " NO thanks!" At 11 we decided to head home and go to sleep. Jake passed out after 10 minutes in the car but Nick stayed up to talk to us for the 45 minute ride home.
