Our first day in Barcelona was spent exploring the streets surrounding our hotel and walking to the zoo. It was in the mid 80's but we survived a multiple mile walking adventure. We made it to the zoo in about an hour. We were staying up near the Sagrada Familia church in a wonderful hotel call Hispanos 7 Suiza. I would definitely stay there again, it was a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with a full kitchen only a block away from the underground metro station. The zoo was lots of fun for the boys they really enjoyed the big cats as well as the monkeys.
