Jake turns 9

Jake had a swim party on Saturday of Memorial day weekend. There were at least 20 kids swimming or sliding down the inflatable water slide. We also had a huge bounce house which was a big hit. Jake had a cake that was shaped like a sand castle and filled with lots of candy as well as the most delicious cupcakes. His real birthday was today and he had a cake that grandma Betty made that looked like a cartoon cat. It was frosted with delicious frosting and sprinkled with poprocks that popped and crackled with every bite. His cousins Karlee and Jackson, were here to help him celebrate. Jake received many different books about cats and a few stuffed animal cats. He also got a video ipod from Uncle Alex, Aunt Adri and grandma Betty. We loaded it with the new album from John Anderson and the greatest hits of Dolly Parton. Both by his request. We also bought him the movie Signs and downloaded that onto the ipod. We got to eat take out from PFChangs for dinner because we didn't want to go out. It was delicious. Nick gave him an itunes gift certificate and a bunch of plastic figurines that you set up wars and fights with.
